Terms and Conditions

• No illegal drugs

No students may use or possess on their persons any illegal drug during their lessons.

• No violence or intimidation

Violent actions to other people, animals, or oneself is not permitted. Abusive and/or threating language is equally forbidden. Uptempo Barrie retains the right to remove a student from the class or end a private lesson early without refund if this policy if violated.

• Do not damage the property

The student agrees that he/she will not damage studio property. Students will be held financially responsible for any direct damages incurred.

• Personal property

The student assume sole responsibility for all personal items. Any personal items lost due to fire, theft, malicious mischief, or otherwise are the sole responsibility of the owner(s).

• Release of liability from injury

Each student releases Uptempo Barrie from claim of personal injury sustained while travelling to or from the lessons, during the lessons, on studio property, or on other excursions.

• We do not offer refunds for missed group classes

Classes will proceed even when a student is absent and no refunds or extra lessons can be provided for those absent.

• We do not offer refunds for missed private lessons

If a student is unable to attend a scheduled private lesson, the student must give over 72 hours of notice in order to reschedule the lesson. The lesson will be rescheduled if the proper notice is provided, but will not be refunded. 

• Private lessons will not be reschedule if Uptempo Barrie is provided less than 72 hours notice

When you book a time slot, you are booking your teacher’s time. We have a very full schedule and cannot guarantee that we will be able to find an alternate time to make up a missed lesson due to student cancellations without over 72 hours notice. 

• Student/teacher illness policy

If a teacher is sick and is unable to teach a private lesson, that lesson will be rescheduled. If a teacher is sick and is unable to teach a group class (and no substitute teacher is provided), students will receive a coupon for a free week of another class of their choice. 

• Cancellation Policy for Group Classes and Premium Memberships

Please ensure that you cancel your registration for a group class a minimum of one week prior to the start date of the class. Any cancellations after one week prior to the start date will not be refunded. Premium Membership holders must give a minimum of two week's notice of cancellation of membership.
